17)   Can I use WD-40 to clean Desert Eagle? - It is quite strange, but the answer is no >:O Well, to be more exact you can use it to lube and clean gun internals, but WD-40 will damage the finish. Here's a report:
    I have the satin nickel finish Desert Eagle. I sprayed WD-40 on it. I didn't know WD-40 was abrasive, but that's what Magnum Research is telling me. My finish looks bad, it lacks that original luster. Flitz, the cleaning compound, hasn't brought it back either. It costs $250 to have it refinished. Live and learn. Don't use WD-40!
