Decided that I wanted Spyderco Manix 2 folder in Maxamet steel. The steel itself is rather on the exotic side, so naturally, I am interested, and Manix 2 looks good enough to my taste. However, Maxamet steel Manix 2 have FRN handles which are not replaceable, and the only Manix 2 I've found where I could replace handle slabs was Manix 2 in CPM S30V steel. So, all in all, I had to order Manix 2 in Maxamet steel, Manix 2 in CPM S30V steel, Flytanium handle slabs and Flytanium Brass Ball Cage Lock. Later two were delayed due to damn pandemic we have going on, and total waiting time to get all things together was over 3 months. Now all I have to do is swap the blades, try to to ruin FRN handle, of which I have very little chance and install new handle slabs and ball cage lock and I'll have Manix 2 with Ti handles, Maxamet steel and bronze cage lock :) Already asked around about rehardening, but nobody wants to reharden Spyderco blades due to the risks associated with the hole.

Few months back in one of the hard trance mixes on the youtube, discovered Jurmingander by ConnecteD, absolutely loved it. Tried searching for more of the same, all I managed was the original mix form his album Ragnarok. Dunno how did I miss it the first time, but now I found his own youtube channel, and loving it. If you like hard/dark trance you owe it to yourself to check it out :) Follow the link in the header for pure awesomness.

Delivered yesterday. Damn, it is a sexy looking blade. Blade made out of the Crucible CPM S35VN steel, one of the few steels actually designed for cutlery. Titanium handle is very well made and feels really good in hand. Decent sized folder too. Framelock, again... I'd much rather have axis or button lock on it, but what can I do, framelock it is. Although, a very well made framelock, with steel lockbar and all that. Pix and review coming soon.

Knife Steel Composition Chart ver. 3.90 for Android

After long break, or long development and testing cycle, new version is up. A lot of new features, and bunch of bugfixes too. Highlights include, Bookmarks system, you can bookmarks alloys as you need, and view bookmarks in a dedicated view, also you can export and import bookmarks from the app, if you need to share or migrate them. Quick search is now at the top of the steel browser, allowing for, you guessed it, quick searches :) Removed menu system, replaced with toolbars. It's faster from the usability point of view, but I'd be lazy to do it just for that, but I got more than one complaint and one 2 star rating because user couldn't figure out how to preform search(!) I thougt all Anndroid users knew about the menu button, but apparently I was wrong. There are a lot more features and fixes, check the changelog on zvisoft.com for details. Enjoy.

Tojiro F-809 DP 240mm Gyuto

One of the knives we gave as a gift to our friend, to introduce him to Japanese kitchen knives. I was happy to have anew knife for testing and reviewing, me and my friends were happy to pick a worthy present and recipient was happy to get the knife he wanted. Everyone was happy in the end, including the dealer I suppose :) Anyhow, good knife, solid build, solid performance. I have no clue why would Tojiro conceal Takefu VG-10 steel used in this knife under obscure DP name, but that's how it was for a while. Details in the review.

2013 Tesla Model S

My biggest toy in recent years, if not ever :) And it is my first EV to boot. Very geeky car IMHO and I love pretty much everything about it. Smooth ride, tons of gadgets, huge touch screen, very high acceleration and regenerative breaking which is far more important and convenient that it might seem just by reading the description, I can drive that car using one pedal 98% of the time. No more gas station visits either. What can I say, truly 21st century car and I'm glad I have it.

After 4 days of struggle, replaced all of the watercooling components, including every single bard, tube, reservoir, coolant, rediator, radiator fans... just the pump is old. Stupid Rampage IV won't recognize more than 20GB ram... Too tired, will try to flash bios tomorrow. And then OC, which is why I bought top level hardware anyway...
